Ruth Marion Sebero (Krause), age 87, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 16, 1938, in Escanaba, Michigan, to Albert and Violet Krause.

Ruth attended Marinette High School, where she met the love of her life, Lloyd, at a high school dance. The two were married on September 8, 1956, at Porterfield Lutheran Church. This September would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary.

After graduating, Ruth worked at St. Joseph Lloyd Hospital before dedicating herself to raising her family as a devoted stay-at-home mother.

Ruth was a gifted seamstress and talented crafter. She lovingly made clothing for her children as they grew, as well as doll clothes, teddy bears, baby blankets, and quilts. Her creativity led her to participate in craft shows and eventually open her own business, Ruthie’s Handcrafted Gifts. She was truly a pioneer in the crafting community and took great pride in creating beautiful handmade treasures.

Ruth enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, canoeing, gardening, and canning. She had a remarkable talent for preparing delicious meals in minutes and loved bringing family together around the table. Holidays held a special place in her heart, especially Easter and Christmas. She delighted in organizing Easter egg hunts and decorating Christmas trees with cherished handmade ornaments, creating traditions and memories that will live on for generations.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd; her children, David (Doreen) Sebero, Cathleen (Raymond) Barber, Diane DeGrand, James Sebero, and Lisa (Michael) Versaskas; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, June Stiebohr and JoAnn Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Violet Krause; her son, Steven Sebero; and her brothers, Albert Jr., Richard, Lawrence, Robin, and Ronald.

Ruth will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness, creativity, strong work ethic, and devotion to her family leave a lasting legacy that will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9 until 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
