Rayleen Barrette, 76, unexpectedly passed away on June 27, 2026, in Marinette, Wisconsin. She was born on August 17, 1949, to the late Raymond and Gladys Paris.

Rayleen lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched the lives of so many.

On February 25, 1967, Rayleen married the love of her life, Pat, and together they built a beautiful life while raising their four children in Menominee, Michigan. The Barrette family became well known throughout the community for their beloved restaurant, Pat and Rayleen’s, where they proudly served friends, neighbors, and visitors for over 30 years. They later opened Barrette’s Food and Spirits in Marinette, continuing their legacy of hospitality and community.

Ray especially enjoyed traveling in her motorhome and camping with her family, making countless cherished memories at Jellystone Campground in Sturgeon Bay. After the passing of her high school sweetheart, Pat, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing Yahtzee with her children, spending time playing gambling machines, going out to dinner, sipping a glass of Pinot Grigio, and cheering on her great-grandchildren at baseball. Above all else, her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Rayleen is lovingly survived by her four children: Sheila Potkay, Tina (Rod) Champeau, Brian (Jodie) Barrette, Jamie (Warren) Ross, and her grandchildren: Trevor (Ashley), Jared (Ali), Justin (Anna), Ethan, Brittany (Bob), Briana (David), Asher (Christine), Ian (James), Alex (Alexandra), Spencer, Brooke (Chad), Brock (Morgan), Brennan (Samantha), Vera, and Elsa; and her great-grandchildren: Amelia, Randi, Charlie, Mason, Landen, Axten, and Lincoln. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill (Lynn) Paris, Bob Paris; and a sister, Annette (Mike) Paris, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was proceeded in death by her spouse Patrick Barrette, parents Raymond and Gladys Paris, along with her beloved pets Thumper and Abby.

Rayleen’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so fiercely, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched with her caring heart, generous spirit, and unforgettable smile.

Per Rayleen’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held with family at a later date.
