Phillip Richter, 78, of Peshtigo, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Kentucky, surrounded by family on his daughter's farm. He was born on August 13, 1947, to the late Ludwig and Angeline (Westcott) Richter in Menominee, MI. He graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1966 and went on to serve his country in the Army for two years. Upon returning he went to work for Green Bay Packaging, retiring in 2015, after 41 years of being with the company. On August 8, 1994, Phillip married Virginia “Ginny” Denowski. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, doing yard work with his wife, and time spent with his dog, Speckles.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ginny Richter; daughter, Bonnie Orlando; brothers, Ludwig (Bonnie) Richter Jr. and Delbert Richter; sister, Jeannine Richter; and his three grand dogs.
Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Athelstane, WI Saturday, June 6th from 10am until time of service at Noon. Military Honors will be held following service. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
