Nancy Carol Tachick, 90, Pound, passed away peacefully Friday, October 10, 2025 at The Cottages of Meadowlands in Oconto Falls. She was born to the late John and Mary (Kalcik) Ward on January 4, 1935 in Sheboygan Falls, WI. Nancy graduated from Coleman High School with the Class of 1952. She married Alvin Tachick November 29, 1952 in Pound. The couple farmed on the Tachick Homestead for many years in the Pound area. She then went to work for the Coleman High School as a custodian, Rennes Health Care as a housekeeper and at Dairyland Electric where she retired from at the age of 82.
Surviving are 6 children Kenny (Judy) Tachick, Roger (Barb) Tachick, Colleen (Jim) Garrigan, Dawn (Ron) Foster, Pamela (John) McMahon and Kevin (Tracy) Tachick; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; 5 siblings, Marilyn Christenson, David (Noreen) Ward, Bonnie (Paul) Ruch, Glenn Ward and John Ward; one sister-in-law Margie Gusick and many other relatives and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Alvin on March 3, 2011; 3 grandsons, Eric, Hunter and Jackson; and two brothers, Jack and Jim.
The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main Street, Coleman from 9 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 am with Pastor Mark Kostreva officiating. Nancy will be placed to rest at First Baptist Cemetery, Pound.
