John T. Hallfrisch, MD, MPH, 70, of Menominee, passed away Jan. 1, 2026. Born in Menominee to the late John and Inez Hallfrisch, he was a 1973 graduate of Menominee High School and earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1987. He married Clarice (Gunville) on Nov. 30, 1974. A dedicated physician for over 30 years, he practiced in Marinette, Iron Mountain, and Powers. John was an active member of Resurrection Parish and the Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed spending time at his camp and traveling with his family. He is survived by his wife, Clarice; children: Angela Myers, John J. (Diana), Valerie (Shane) DeCamp, Aaron (Andrea), Sean (Colleen), and Luke Hallfrisch; siblings: Sheila (Michael) Shanks, Jeffrey (Linda) Hallfrisch, and Janet (Jonathan) Spar; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Eric Myers.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 9, 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Cadieu Funeral Home with a vigil prayer service at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass: Saturday, Jan. 10, 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Parish.
