Jennifer Jeanne Nichols – age 73, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2026 in Lakewood, Wisconsin. She was born August 31, 1952, the youngest daughter of Gaius & Lillian Wilson Nichols, and grew up in rural Oconto. She was home tutored by a special teacher, Violet Laduron. After her parents passed, Jen moved to Oconto in 1993 and then later to Lakewood. She entered Lakewood Assisted Living in 2018 after being looked after by a number of wonderful caregivers at her home on County F, Athelstane.
Jen is survived by her brother, Lyle [Diane] Nichols, Oconto; niece Lara Nichols-Timm [Adam], Oconto; nephews Brett Nichols, Oconto; Nick Jevne [Paul Brunette], Menasha; Russel Jevne, England.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Jevne, Carson City, Nevada; her parents, and a special aunt, Elva Wilson.
Special thanks to Lorna, Crystal, Pam, Nancy, Betty, Cora, Marilyn, Pastor Jack, & all those who looked after Jen at Lakewood Assisted Living, especially Jackie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 16th , at the Rhodes- Charapata Funeral Home, 801 George Street, Crivitz; visitation at 10AM, service at 11AM.
