Edward M. Jicha Sr., 80, of Athelstane, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 7, 2025. He was born to the late Emil and Constance Jicha on May 17, 1945 in Wausaukee. Edward was united in marriage to Bertha Roeder on October 4, 1998.
Edward proudly served his country in the U.S Army for a number of years. He was also a dedicated firefighter for the town of Athelstane serving for over 30 years, retiring when the department placed his name in Jicha Park for his many exceptional years of service. Many people remember Edward for his generosity and serving his community with his variety of services he had many skills in. There was nothing he couldn’t do. He dedicated his life to serving others and he will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, several close step children, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 7 siblings.
Per Edwards wishes, no formal services will be held.
