Angeline "Angie" F. Patenaude, age 92, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Angie was born on March 18, 1933, in the Town of Spruce WI to the late John and Frances (Pawlak) Lepinski. She married Edmund Patenaude on June 14, 1952, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Coleman, WI.
During their married life Angie, Ed and family moved many times; starting out on County A, Lena to Peshtigo to North Carolina then returning to WI. They lived in Butler, WI then to Menomonee Fall, WI until returning to Lena in 1969 when they bought out Demro’s Grocery Store and Jicha’s Bar. Angie along with her family operated Mr. Ed’s Mostly Angie’s Grocery Store and Mr. Ed’s Bar in Lena. When they left the bar she became a cook/ Head Cook at the Lena School for 25 years. Angie was very active with helping out in her community with cooking for many events from Church chicken dinners to the Lion’s Club Fish Fry.
She was very proud of all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; she would say she was so blessed and lucky to have such great kids and grandchildren. She loved crocheting and knitting; and made many hats, mittens, dishragsand afghans that she gave away to anyone. At the end she enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers, reading mystery or love story books and doing puzzles on her iPad.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ed, her children Kathy (Garth) Sellen, Shirley (Darrell) Kushava, Judy Patenaude, Ron (RoseAnn) Patenaude, Jerry (Karen) Patenaude, Peggy (Sam) Whitcomb and Tom (Karyn) Patenaude; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Her siblings: Bernie (Eleanor), Paul,(Linda), Bob (Betty), Tom (Karen), Alice, Joann, Polly (Tony) and Mary (John); and many Patenaude in-laws.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Norbert, Bill, Charles, Jim, Rosella and Agnes.
Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, December 12, 2025 at St. Anne Catholic Church 221 E. Main St. Lena, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M until 11:00 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 A.M with Fr. Ben Johnson and Father Nonito Barra (co-officiating) assisted by Deacon Peter Gard. Burial at St. Charles Cemetery at a later date. The family asks that if you wish to buy flowers/ plants to get Poinsettias that they can leave at the church and use for Christmas. Thank You very much.
