The first ever Queen Marinette ‘Run the River’ Power Boat Races were held this past weekend on the Menominee River and thousands of spectators were on hand, with several blocks of Riverside Avenue were closed to traffic for the event. The American Power Boat Association was responsible for the event, which featured plenty of side-by-side racing and passing with speeds getting into triple-digit territory.
