GFWC Oconto Woman’s Club to Deck The Fence

OCONTO – For the 15th year, the GFWC Oconto Woman’s Club will present its Deck The Fence display along Brazeau Avenue in Oconto.

Wreath sponsorships are available as a meaningful way to honor someone, remember a loved one or special event or share a holiday greeting. The display remains in place from mid-November through early February.

This year’s $40 sponsorship fee includes a lighted wreath, decorative ribbon and Vital Signs placard. Orders will be accepted now through Nov. 4, or until all 154 wreaths are sponsored. In previous years, sponsorships sold out by Oct. 30, so early ordering is encouraged.

Sponsorships are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and confirmed only after complete order information and full payment are received. To participate, be sure to obtain, complete and mail out the Deck the Fence 2026 order form.

Forms will appear in the Peshtigo Times during the weeks of Oct. 12 and Oct. 19. Forms and additional details are also available on the GFWC Oconto Woman’s Club and Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook pages and at local Oconto banks, pharmacies, retail stores and restaurants, with posters displaying project information.

If unable to find or print a form, orders can be made on a blank sheet of paper. Please print the sponsor/purchaser name(s), complete address, preferred contact phone number, name(s) to be honored, and whether the wreath is “in memory of,” “in honor of” or a seasonal greeting. Include the check number and total amount of check with the order. If this order is a repeat of last year’s message, state that clearly.
Mail the completed order and payment to GFWC Oconto Woman’s Club, Atten: Janine Hornblad, 112 Holtwood Way, Oconto, WI 54153.

Telephone orders are not accepted, but if there are questions about an order call (920) 834-5206. Payment must accompany every order. It is recommended that orders be placed early to allow time for project preparation and to help ensure wreath availability.

The GFWC Oconto Woman’s Club is proud of this initiative and grateful for the community’s support over the past 14 years. Together with Winter Wonderland, the display fills Oconto with festive holiday cheer.

Club members sincerely thank everyone who supports the display and wish all a blessed Christmas.
