Menominee County Sheriff’s Office: October 1 – October 10
October 1
At 9:42 a.m., a deputy was advised to contact a subject in the City of Stephenson regarding obscene communications. An investigation was conducted and the incident was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
At 4:13 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a domestic assault on River Dr. in Menominee Township. A 41-year-old Menominee man was arrested for felonious assault, domestic assault and interfering with electronic communications. He was lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
October 2
At 12:23 p.m., a deputy responded to a warrant attempt on US 41 in the City of Stephenson. A 67-year-old Stephenson man was arrested on a valid warrant for criminal sexual conduct — fourth degree and for resisting and obstructing during the arrest. The man was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation before being lodged at the jail.
At 12:38 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on Rangeline Dr. in Mellen Township. A vehicle driven by John Bordach, 71, of Wallace failed to stop at a signed intersection while traveling west on Mission Church Rd., colliding with a vehicle driven by Trenton Salfai, 18, of Wallace. Bordach was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Salfai reported no injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed.
At 1:55 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to a domestic assault in progress on #7 Rd. in Menominee Township. An investigation was conducted, the parties were separated and the incident was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
At 2:54 p.m., a deputy was advised regarding a stolen check in Lake Township. The caller stated a check sent to pay a bill was altered and cashed by an unknown party. An investigation is ongoing.
At 7:04 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a verbal domestic in the City of Stephenson. The domestic was cleared after an investigation, during which a 39-year-old Stephenson man was found to have a valid warrant for failure to appear to show cause out of probate court in Menominee. He was transported and lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
October 3
At 5:08 p.m., deputies were dispatched to an assault on J-1 Ln. in Daggett Township. An investigation was conducted, and the incident was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges. One of the involved parties was advised not to return to the residence.
At 8 p.m., a Deputy was dispatched to J-1 Ln in Daggett Township for a report of a domestic that had occurred. A 36-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault and lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
October 4
At 9:16 a.m., a deputy initiated a traffic stop on US 2 and 41 in Spalding Township for speeding. The 46-year-old Spalding man driving was arrested for operating while license revoked and given a warning for speed. He was given a citation and released.
At 3:54 p.m., a deputy responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash on US 2 in Harris Township. David Mouford, 74, of Wilson braked suddenly for a deer while traveling east and was struck by a vehicle driven by Christine Pfeiff, 59, of Wilson. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed, but no injuries were reported.
At 10:19 p.m., a deputy and rescue team were dispatched to a rollover crash on CR 577 in Menominee Township. A 22-year-old Menominee man traveling south lost control on a curve, overturning his vehicle. After investigation, the driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, issued a citation and released at the hospital for his injuries.
October 5
At 4:05 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a vehicle versus tractor crash on Linderoth Rd. in Lake Township. Matthew Granskog, 26, of Stephenson was attempting a left-hand turn with his tractor when he was struck by a passing vehicle driven by Colton Hersback, 19, of Lannon, who was traveling the same direction. Hersback complained of pain but was not transported, and both vehicles had disabling damage.
October 6
At 2:30 p.m., a deputy was advised regarding a juvenile runaway complaint in Menominee Township. The caller’s daughter was located and returned without incident.
At 3:52 p.m., a deputy was advised about a threats complaint on #6 Rd. in Menominee Township. The caller stated a contractor she hired was harassing her for payment after failing to complete the discussed work. The contractor was advised not to contact her, and the incident was closed.
October 7
At 11:54 a.m., a deputy arrested a 22-year-old Spalding man on a valid warrant for assault and battery out of 95A District Court of Menominee. He was transported to the Menominee County Jail without incident.
October 9
At 11:52 a.m., a deputy assisted Child Protective Services (CPS) with a suspected assault involving a juvenile in Daggett Township. An investigation was conducted and sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges.
At 12:31 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an assault that had just occurred at an address in the City of Stephenson. The caller reported that an unknown male she suspected was trying to steal something assaulted her when she approached him and he then left the area. The incident is under investigation.
At 3:24 p.m., a deputy arrested a 33-year-old Negaunee woman on a valid warrant on Daggett Ave. in Daggett Township. The warrant was for controlled substance — possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy out of 96th Circuit Court of Marquette. She was transported and lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
At 5:58 p.m., a deputy was contacted regarding a larceny at a camp on Cheesefactory Rd. in Holmes Township. An investigation revealed nothing was taken, but someone was trespassing. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.
October 10
At 8 a.m., a deputy was advised about a dog at large on Elm Ave. in Spalding Township. The caller stated an unknown dog came and attacked one of her chickens. She stated it has been in her yard before but she does not know who the dog belongs to. The investigation is ongoing.
At 3:52 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a breaking and entering complaint on CR 577 in Stephenson Township. The caller stated that someone broke into his camp and stole several items. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.
At 5 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an argument on P-2 Ln. in Menominee Township. An investigation was conducted, and the incident was cleared.
Menominee Police Department: October 31 - November 6
October 31
At 7:29 a.m., officers investigated a firearm, magazine and ammunition found in the street in the 2400 block of 10th Ave.
At 10:38 p.m., a 39-year-old male was arrested at 13th St. and 22nd Ave. for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, having open intoxicants in a vehicle, and no insurance on a vehicle.
November 1
At 2:03 p.m., officers investigated a report of an assault in the 300 block of 4th Place.
November 2
At 12:23 a.m., a 37-year-old female was arrested at 13th St. and 46th Ave. for the unlawful use of a license plate and having no insurance on a vehicle.
At 2:42 a.m., a 17-year-old male was arrested at 10th St. and 30th Ave. for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
November 3
At 3:15 p.m., a 21-year-old male was arrested in the 1500 block of 17th Ave. for driving an unregistered vehicle.
November 4
At 3:37 p.m., a 23-year-old male was arrested on a felony warrant through the Menominee Police Department in the 4300 block of 10th St.
November 5
At 7:21 a.m., officers investigated a report of an assault and a runaway 15-year-old male in the 1100 block of 38th Ave.
At 12:58 p.m., officers investigated a report of a 14-year-old male runaway in the 1200 block of 9th Ave.
At 8:34 p.m., a 22-year-old female was arrested on a bench warrant through Menominee County at 1st St. and 13th Ave.
November 6
At 1:32 a.m., a 35-year-old male was arrested at 10th St. and 14th Ave. for driving with a revoked license and possession of a concealed weapon.
At 1:32 a.m., another 35-year-old male was arrested at 10th St. and 14th Ave. for possession of methamphetamine.
At 7:12 a.m., a 44-year-old male was arrested for assault in the 1200 block of 38th Ave.
Marinette Police Department: November 3 - November 9
November 3
At 9:09 a.m., a traffic accident occurred involving vehicles operated by Juan Tapia and Robert Gorenchan. There were no injuries. Tapia was cited for operating without a valid license and failure to yield to the right of way.
At 11:41 a.m., a traffic accident occurred at State St. and Carney Ave. involving vehicles operated by Delore Bourdelais and Justin Laurin. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
At 2:38 p.m., Melissa Jo Sachs was taken into custody at Hattie St. and Riverside Ave. for operating while intoxicated — third offense and possession of THC.
At 7:45 p.m., Alexander Gilbert was cited for trespassing at 2900 Roosevelt Rd.
November 4
At 9:21 a.m., Patricia L. Miller-Sanchez was taken into custody on a warrant at 2500 Hall Ave.
At 1:25 p.m., Shannon L. Magnuson was taken into custody on a probation violation at 3450 Old Peshtigo Rd.
November 5
At 1:48 p.m., Donovan Westby was taken into custody on a probation violation at 3450 Old Peshtigo Rd.
At 3:44 p.m., a student reported the theft of a black Apple iPhone 13 from the intermediate school in the City of Marinette.
At 6:22 p.m., a traffic accident occurred at 2760 Roosevelt Rd. involving vehicles operated by Kimberly Zimmer and Jane Mundinger. There were no injuries or citations.
At 10:31 p.m., charges of disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon and resisting/obstructing an officer were forwarded to the district attorney’s office for Katherine E. Thompson, following a domestic disturbance at 1529 Main St.
November 6
At 1:48 p.m., Louis Vizenor was taken into custody on a probation violation at 3450 Old Peshtigo Rd.
November 7
At 3:31 p.m., a traffic accident occurred at County Rd. T and W Frontage Rd. involving vehicles operated by Daniel Maye and Cary Waloway. No injuries were reported. Maye was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
November 9
At 11:55 a.m., a charge of trespass to land and resisting/obstructing an officer was forwarded to the district attorney’s office for Mark Bice, following a disorderly conduct incident at 2002 Shore Dr.
At 9:15 p.m., a charge of violating a restraining order was forwarded to the district attorney’s office for Nathan Caproon, following a violation of public order incident at 1303 Elizabeth Ave.
