Menominee County Sheriff’s Office: September 19 – September 30
September 19
At 11:59 a.m., a Deputy investigated a breaking and entering complaint on Old Cemetery Road in Harris Township after a caller reported a blind was broken into and items were taken.
Deputies were dispatched at 2:20 p.m. to D-1 Lane in Harris Township for a second breaking and entering complaint after a camp was broken into and items were missing.
September 21
A traffic stop was initiated at 1:21 a.m. on Division Street in Stephenson after a driver failed to use turn signals and was suspected of intoxication; a 50-year-old Marinette woman was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a 58-year-old Stephenson man, the passenger, was arrested for having open intoxicants and littering.
At 3:56 p.m., a deputy investigated a possible breaking and entering on US 41 in Menominee when a caller stated someone broke into her storage unit and took items; the suspect was located and warned of criminal trespassing.
September 22
A deputy was advised at 2:40 p.m. of fraudulent checks on Church Road in Stephenson Township by a subject who found checks he had written were cashed fraudulently.
At 10:15 p.m., a deputy assisted CPS with a reported child abuse complaint on Old US 2 and 41 in Wilson.
September 24
A deputy was advised at 1:45 p.m. to contact a subject on US 41 in Nadeau Township regarding a complaint about a threat.
At 2:03 p.m., a deputy was advised of a dog bite complaint on Number 11 Road in Ingallston Township by a subject who was bitten at a residence while working.
At 5:02 p.m., a 56-year-old Stephenson woman was arrested on Railroad Street in Stephenson on a valid warrant for having controlled substances — delivery/manufacture methamphetamine.
September 25
At 8:14 a.m., a deputy was advised of an assault that had just occurred on US 41 in Nadeau Township; no injuries were reported.
A deputy was advised at 11:59 a.m. of a fraud complaint on M-3 in Nadeau Township where a subject sent money to a contractor for work that wasn’t completed and the money was not returned.
A two-vehicle traffic crash occurred at 2:46 p.m. on M-35 in Menominee Township when a vehicle — driven by Amy Zoch, 47, of Menominee — re-entered the roadway from the shoulder, failed to yield and struck a trailer pulled by another vehicle; Zoch reported minor injuries and her vehicle sustained disabling damage.
Deputies were dispatched at 4:31 p.m. to River Road in Stephenson Township for a call about a subject fighting; a 48-year-old Stephenson man was warned of criminal trespass.
September 26
At 3:53 p.m., a deputy and fire personnel were dispatched to a structure fire on Pine Avenue in Spalding Township; a camper was a total loss after a spark from burning garbage ignited it and a nearby building sustained charring.
A deputy was dispatched at 5:16 p.m. to T-1 Drive in Menominee Township for a dumping complaint after a caller observed debris in a ditch.
September 27
At 9:26 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an address on Burnt Knoll Road in Spalding Township for an unwanted female; a 39-year-old Escanaba woman was arrested for misuse of 911, felonious assault and on a valid warrant.
September 29
A deputy was advised at 11:20 a.m. of a harassment complaint on CR 551 in Gourley Township concerning someone spot lighting a residence and an ongoing neighbor issue.
At 10:05 p.m., a deputy initiated a traffic stop on River Road in Stephenson Township for having no license plates. A suspected narcotic was found during a vehicle search.
Menominee Police Department: October 17 - October 23
October 17
officers investigated a report of malicious damage to property at 7:43 a.m. in the 900 block of 26th Street.
At 9:16 a.m., officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at 10th Street and 20th Avenue that resulted in functional damage to both vehicles, but no injuries. A 44-year-old male was cited for careless driving.
A purse was found by Department of Public Works employees at 9:48 a.m. in the 1700 block of 10th Avenue and turned into the police department; the owner was located.
Officers investigated a three-vehicle accident at 1:41 p.m. at 10th Avenue and 11th Street that resulted in functional damage to two vehicles and minor damage to a third; no injuries were reported.
At 2:54 p.m., officers investigated a report of an assault between an 11-year-old male and a 10-year-old male on a school bus at 13th Street and 13th Avenue.
A 39-year-old male was cited at 8:49 p.m. for failing to yield the right of way, which resulted in a two-vehicle accident causing functional damage to both vehicles at 10th Avenue and 13th Street; no injuries were reported.
October 18
At 8:24 a.m., a 40-year-old male was arrested for larceny from a business in the 1200 block of 10th Avenue.
A 39-year-old female was arrested at 12:04 p.m. at 10th Avenue and 11th Street for driving without an operator’s license and for violating the child restraint law.
At 12:22 p.m., officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle at 19th Street and 8th Avenue
A 21-year-old male was arrested on a bench warrant through the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department at 11:04 p.m. on the 2500 block of 10th Street
October 19
At 2:16 a.m., a 39-year-old male was cited for improper lane use on 10th Street and 43rd Avenue
Officers investigated a report of retail theft and trespassing at 9:42 a.m. on the 1000 block of 10th Avenue
Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle at 10:35 a.m. on the 2300 block of 10th Street
At 11:29 a.m., Officers investigated a report of the theft of a 2016 beige Kia Optima on the 1700 block of 16th Avenue.
A 26-year-old male was cited for speeding at 10:31 p.m. at 1st Street and 13th Avenue.
October 20
At 6:56 a.m., a 20-year-old male was arrested for malicious damage to property and for reckless driving on 13th Street and 56th Avenue.
A 53-year-old female was arrested at 12:55 p.m. for failing to stop and identify herself at the scene of an accident on 13th Street and 10th Avenue.
October 21
At 11 a.m., a 48-year-old male was arrested on a felony warrant through the Menominee Police Department on the 800 block of 10th Avenue
A 36-year-old male was arrested at 5:05 p.m. for littering on private property on the 2300 block of 10th Street
October 22
At 11:09 a.m., a 20-year-old male was arrested for the prohibited use of 911 service and for trespassing at 48th Avenue and 13th Street.
October 23
Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle at 1:16 p.m. on the 400 block of 6th Avenue.
Marinette Police Department: October 20 - October 25
October 20
At 8:34 a.m., an animal problem was reported at 909 Wells St. where a gray and white tabby cat without a collar was found and taken to Town & Country vet.
A traffic accident occurred at 2:13 p.m. at 2900 Roosevelt Rd. between vehicles operated by Judy Sadowski and Steven Goddard. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
A hit and run accident at 2135 Pierce Ave. was reported at 3:36 p.m. Vehicles operated by Jaylin Gerloff and Timothy Hanley collided with no injuries. Gerloff was cited for failing to yield to the right-of-way from a parked position and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
At 8:40 p.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance at 810 Wells St. and Gavin Taraska was taken into custody for battery and disorderly conduct.
October 21
A traffic accident at Woleske Road and Cahill Road was reported at 12:39 p.m. Vehicles operated by Brandon Strickland and Michelle Wery collided. No injuries were reported, but Strickland was cited for inattentive driving.
At 7:17 p.m., an incident categorized as drugs occurred at Highway 41 and County Road T. Michael Rodriguez Perez was taken into custody on a child support warrant and Edgardo Castro Rodriguez was cited for possession of THC.
October 23
The department received a report of found property for two bags of ESPN brand basketballs at Daggett Street and Wells Street
At 11:09 a.m., a disorderly conduct charge was filed against a 13-year-old male in the City of Marinette, which will be referred to DHS.
A traffic accident at 3:08 p.m. occurred at 1520 Mott St. Holly Opsahl struck a legally parked vehicle owned by Taylor Kenrick. No injuries were reported. Opsahl was cited for non-registration of auto and inattentive driving.
October 24
At 2:11 a.m., an operating while intoxicated (OAWI) incident at Red Arrow Park resulted in Caden R. Ponds being taken into custody for operating while intoxicated — second offense and resisting/obstructing an officer. In the same incident, Theodore C. Van Holt was cited for resisting/obstructing an officer and Drake Ryan was taken into custody on a probation warrant.
A probation violation occurred at 11:49 a.m. at 3450 Old Peshtigo Rd., where Brandon Strickland was taken into custody.
At 4:16 p.m., Travis J. Boese was taken into custody on a Warrant Arrest at 1213 Logan Ave.
A drug incident was reported at 8:36 p.m. at Highway 41 and County Road T, resulting in Uriah U. Kasimoff being cited for possession of THC.
At 8:54 p.m., an alcohol offense in the City of Marinette led to Gabriella E. Wusterbarth and Logan J. Tryggestad being cited for underage drinking. Two 16-year-olds and one 13-year-old female were also cited for underage drinking in the same incident.
October 25
An incident categorized as assault at 7:58 a.m. at 1240 Marinette Ave. resulted in Alexander S. Gilbert being cited for retail theft.
A hit and run accident occurred at 8:07 a.m. at 3003 University Dr., where a vehicle operated by Dana Ihander struck a legally parked vehicle owned by Amanda Noel. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
At 4:16 p.m., a hit and run accident at 1302 Marinette Ave. involved a vehicle owned by Sharon Reese being struck by a vehicle operated by an unknown driver. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
