The 2024 individual regionals will have wrestlers from each of these area schools advancing to D3 sectionals in Bonduel Saturday February 17th. Each of these schools Coleman, Lena, Oconto, Wabeno, Gillet/Suring, and Oneida Nation traveled to Crandon for regionals. Coleman led the way taking first as a team by over 35 team points, thus advancing them to team sectionals Tuesday Feb 13th. With the dominance of the Cougars, TimesLand D3 will push 28 wrestlers to sectionals! Coleman posts Six champions with 11 qualifiers from 14 possible weight classes, a masterclass of quality wrestling up and down the roster, something that the faithful Cougar fan base was proud to see. They were not alone in sending multiple athletes on to the next level, Oconto will be advancing six, Wabeno five, and Lena three with one champion. The count for champions from the area finishes at seven. G/S adds 2 to the sectional and O/N will be adding one to the pool of wrestlers hopeful for the state tournament. The top three finishers at sectionals of each weight will advance to the Kohl Center to take on Wisconsin’s top talent. The seven champions of the D3 regional were 285 Kain Otto, 215 Devin Otto, 175 Isaiah Nowak, 157 Micah Kuchta, 144 Brady Gross, and 106 Parker Owens all of Coleman high. Lena High posted a champion at 132 Lucas Heimke.

The D2 TimesLand Schools that advanced wrestlers to sectionals in Luxemburg Saturday February 17th include, Crivitz, Marinette, Peshtigo, and Oconto Falls. The areas D2 schools will send 14 wrestlers to the next level with four taking the honors of champion. Peshtigo High will be sending two in Reese Yunke 144 and Ethan Brissette 157, “Mount Peshtigo” Connor Thomas lost a close overtime battle and finished second. Oconto falls will also send two in Garrett Ganter 106 and Cole Bozile 138, both of these schools had a strong showing over sending five and six athletes to sectionals, all of them will be looking for a top three finish in L/C to move on to the states final stage. Marinette is sending Levi Kuenzil and Isaiah Jonson and Crivitz is Sending Aj Kaufman.

North of the Menominee River Kingsford traveled to District 17-3 to advance eight wrestlers and two champions! Eli Rouse and Max Sundquist both took home first place and the Flivers finished with first place earlier in the week to move on to team sectionals as well. This Kingsford team has talent from top to bottom and despite team being named after an old Ford coach Groleau has them operating like a well-oiled machine and that all starts with Eli, a returning state champion. Rouses dominance continued as he pinned his opponent in the championship match.  Menmoinee also visited the same district but failed to push a Maroon on to the next level.
