MARINETTE – Marinette hosted this years edition of one of the most exciting team dual tournaments as wrestlers compete for the right to claim the Menominee River. Wisco brought Clintonville, Fox Valley Lutheran, Little Chute, and the hosting Marines. Michigan led by Kingsford, backed up by Manistique, Bark River-Harris, and the hosts cross river rival the Menominee Maroons. The final team results finished with Little Chute over Kingsford in a THRILLER 42-39. The Fliver team is loaded with top level talent led by Elizin Rouse. In Matches actually wrestled Kingsford went 7-3 over LC but filling a roster is a HUGE part of winning a wrestling dual as Kingsford starts each match down 24 points missing various weight classes. In a heated 3rd place match, The Minniconnie Bridge Battle did not disappoint. The Marines are led by the smith bros., an aggressive and passionate combo at 175 and 190. This dual also came down to the end seeing Marinette finish on top by 3 points.
