Scott Joseph LaMack, 58, of Marinette, cast his last line and headed off on his greatest adventure after suffering a heart attack on July 13, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center Bay Area. Born on April 21, 1968, in Marinette, he was the son of Roger and Mary (Seymour) LaMack.
A member of the Marinette High School Class of 1986, Scott was happiest anywhere the pavement ended. If there was a deer stand, fishing hole, campsite, or stretch of water nearby, chances are Scott had already claimed it as his favorite spot. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, waterskiing, and just about anything that got him outdoors. If Mother Nature was open, Scott was there.
Scott spent several years at Giddings & Lewis and as a painter at Fincantieri Marinette Marine, where he ‘sometimes’ worked hard, shared plenty of laughs, and probably had a story or two that couldn’t be printed here.
Above all, Scott was a gentle giant who loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Savanah (Wade) Delorit; his grandchildren, Raelynn, Colt, Cade, and Reese. He is also survived by his parents, Roger and Mary LaMack; his sisters, Lisa (Kenneth) Booth and Jill (Dr. Rick) Laux; and many nieces and nephews, including Bryan Shevy and John Schaut.
He was welcomed into eternity by his grandparents, Homer and Rose Seymour, and John and Clarice LaMack.
Private funeral services have been held for the immediate family. A celebration of Scott’s life will be announced at a later date.
In true Scott fashion, don’t be surprised if the stories get bigger with every telling—and he’d probably want it that way. So, raise a toast, tell your favorite Scott story, and if you find yourself in the woods or on the water, think of him. He’d tell you that’s exactly where life is meant to be lived.
