Sally J. Cholka, 91, formerly of Marinette passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Charleston House in Beaver Dam. She was born on April 13, 1933, to the late Leo and Joyce (Menor) Rouse in Marinette and attended Marinette Schools. Sally had worked for the Boreal Glove Factory for three years, moving to Milwaukee in 1953, and worked for Allen Bradley for twelve years. On June 12, 1954, Sally married Norbert Cholka at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette; he preceded her in death on November 20, 1995. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society, and the BAMC Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Gail (Steve) Schilter of Juneau, WI; sister, Nancy (Roy) Strom of West Bend; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and husband, Norbert, she was preceded in death by brothers: Rodney, Leo, and Robert Rouse; and sisters, Marlyn Kamps and Mary Ellen Schrank.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish – Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday, December 6th from 9:30-11am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am with Rev Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
