Ruth H. Hoffman, 88, formerly of Marinette, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Odd Fellows in Green Bay. She was born on March 29, 1936, to the late Ted and Ida (LaPlant) Utke in Menominee. She graduated from Marinette High School in 1955 and from Cosmetology School in 1958. She had worked for Trutman Hardware. Ruth loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially the grandchildren. She was proud to be able to host family and friends at the holidays.
Ruth is survived by her sons: Wayne Hoffman, Peter “Bud” (Judy) Hoffman both of Green Bay, Tim Hoffman of Pembine, and Mike (Kathy) Utke of Menominee; grandchildren: Michael (Jenny) Utke Jr, Brian (Colleen) Utke, Jamie Hoffman, Jenny (Alex) Grant, Aria Hoffman, Tori Hoffman, and Nathan Hoffman; great grandchildren: Stacy Utke, Michael “Ray” Utke III, Savannah and Braxton Utke, and Zander, Carter, and Annelyse Grant; sisters, Judy McVane and Gretchen (Paul) Boivin; nephew, Tom (Robin) Boivin; nieces: Kelly (Sam) Mata, Jodi McVane, Mary (Kent) Cherry, and Stacy McVane; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Jimmer McVane and nephew, Jerry Boivin.
Private family services will be held at Thielen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
