Ronald Woods, 89, of Menominee, MI passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born March 22, 1935 to the late Raymond and Hazel Woods and graduated from Menominee High School with the Class of 1953. He proudly served his county in the U.S. Army (1955-1957) and was honorably discharged as Sgt. 1st Class.
Ron married the former Carol Sandberg on May 21, 1960. He was employed with the L. E. Jones Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1999 as Machine Shop Foreman. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and time at camp with his son, Randy, family and friends. He also enjoyed riding his J.D. mower maintaining a meticulous yard.
Ron is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Randy; daughter, Shelly (Charles) Burby; four grandchildren, Ryan Woods, Cody (Lindsay) Woods, Katelyn and Alisha Burby; a sister, Sandra (Roger) Tyson; brothers, Terry and Stephen (Diane) Woods; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gene; and a sister, Sally.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes no service will be held.
