Robert “Bob” Arthur Bancroft, 77, of Menominee, MI passed away unexpectedly at home on April 18, 2026. He was born on July 17, 1948 to LaVerne and Edmere Bancroft in Marinette, WI. He married Patricia Tebo in 1968 and they were married for 57 years. He served in the United States Army from 1968-1970 and was a multi-time cancer survivor. Bob was a wood and metal worker. He would use his skills and talents as a handyman to help friends and family. He was known for his smart aleck humor and making everyone laugh. Above all, he loved being Grandpa to his three granddaughters.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Bobbie Jo (John) Carviou; granddaughters: Joelle (Patrick) Heck, Alyssa (Ben Everson) Carviou, and Kimberly Carviou; siblings, Richard(Meyong) Rebbie of Clarksville Tenn., Leola (Dolly) Lorenz of Peshtigo, Barbara Bancroft of Marinette, William (Jean) Bancroft of Porterfield, David (friend, Nancy) Bancroft of Sussex,
VA and Debbie (Richard) Koening of Menominee; and most recently a great-grandson, Robert Edward Wayne Heck. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane.
As Bob always reminded his granddaughters; it’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.
