River Cities Concert Association presents 2026-2027 season

MENOMINEE, MICH. – The River Cities Concert Association (RCCA) proudly presents the 2026 – 2027 season. RCCA is a nonprofit organization of music lovers who buy yearly memberships to fund a season of concerts of high-quality family entertainment by distinguished performers from around the world.

Contracting with Allied Concert Services in Plymouth, Minn., RCCA strives to provide inspiration and cultural enrichment to area residents of all ages. As in the past, this year’s exciting lineup has something for everyone.

You Raise Me Up

Musical duo Erin Shields and David Shenton present their unique and highly entertaining show songs of love, hope and inspiration. These virtuosic performers have been delighting audiences for years with their sophisticated show of highly original interpretations of songs every audience knows and loves. The show, which features Shields as vocalist and pianist, and Shenton on piano, violin and vocals, has something for everyone.

You Raise Me Up will perform on Monday, Sept. 21, and is sponsored by Edward Jones offices of Ian Wetzel and Ethan Linstad

ArcoStrum

ArcoStrum is committed to pushing boundaries and redefining the 21st-century violin-guitar art form, presenting a new chamber music that is mixed-genre, multi-cultural and cross-era, merging Eastern and Western cultures. ArcoStrum seamlessly combines the evocative sounds of traditional Chinese instruments like the erhu and dizi with the virtuosity of classical violin, guitar and electric guitar. ArcoStrum’s innovative program offers a musical journey that transcends boundaries, celebrating the evolution of music across cultures and generations.

ArcoStrum will take the stage on Thursday, Oct. 22, and is sponsored by Broadway Real Estate and Johnson & Wilson Law S.C. — Nathaniel A. Johnson Esq. and Richard A. Kuenzi Esq.

Ryan & Ryan

Ryan & Ryan is a charismatic father-son piano duo that draws upon classic and contemporary music to create enthralling concert experiences. A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Donald came to the United States to study music, earning degrees from Oral Roberts University and the University of Tulsa. Barron has been playing piano since the age of four. He distinguished himself in piano studies at the University of Oklahoma and has been a featured soloist across the United States and internationally. Donald and Barron amaze audiences with their skill, expressiveness and love of making music.

Ryan & Ryan will perform on Thursday, Nov. 19, sponsored by Jeff and Ann LaFleur and Family Practice Dentistry — Justin Oberdorfer D.D.S. and Allie VanLaanen D.D.S.

Solomon Jaye’s TAP INTO SOUL

Solomon Jaye’s TAP INTO SOUL offers an exciting new take on a timeless genre of music, blending multi-octave vocals and world-class tap dancing on a soulful setlist featuring both classic and contemporary chart-topping hits. The incredible music featured in this high-energy show transports listeners from the 1950s to today in the blink of an eye.

Solomon Jaye’s TAP INTO SOUL is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5, 2027, and is sponsored by Klegin Insurance Services, LLC and Lithocrafters Printing.

Oboe Fusion

Oboe Fusion blends oboes, vocals and keyboard in a dynamic mix of musical styles, spontaneous performances and a dash of humor.

Renowned for their genre-defying approach and distinctive profile, the group presents original renditions of music by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Burt Bacharach, alongside nostalgic tributes to the 60s and 70s and beloved tunes from the Golden Age of Television. Their programs also feature timeless works by Bach and Beethoven. They have performed at prestigious venues such as the Lincoln Center and the Town Hall, as well as the original Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club in New York City, New York.

Oboe Fusion will perform on Saturday, March 20, 2027, and is sponsored by Dr. Francisco and Heidi Gamez and Rob and Vivian Haight.

RCCA remains the best deal in town for musical performances of the highest caliber. RCCA memberships are for all five concerts and include the following options:

  • Adult membership for $60
  • Student membership through college for $20
  • Family membership of two adults and all children through high school for $140
  • Grandparent membership of two adults and grandchildren through high school for $140

Single tickets will also be available for each concert and can be purchased at the door.

Adults are $30 and students are $8 by cash or check only.

All concerts are held at Blesch Auditorium — a barrier-free venue — at the Menominee Elementary School in Menominee, Michigan, at 7 p.m. Central Time.
