Peshtigo Lions Club braves winter cold to assist with food distribution

Posted

PESHTIGO – True to the Lions motto “We Serve,” five dedicated members of the Peshtigo Lions Club braved frigid temperatures Thursday morning to assist The Salvation Army with a vital food distribution effort in partnership with Feeding America.

The Lions arrived early and worked alongside volunteers to help deliver food to individuals and families in need throughout the community. Their efforts ensured that essential groceries reached local residents who rely on this critical support, especially during the challenging winter months.

The food distribution was part of an ongoing collaboration between The Salvation Army and Feeding America, organizations committed to fighting hunger and strengthening communities. The Peshtigo Lions Club proudly joined this effort, demonstrating the power of service through hands-on action.

“Service doesn’t stop when the weather gets tough,” said Rhonda McClain, president of the Peshtigo Lions club. “If anything, that’s when our community needs us the most.”

Local service projects like this food distribution highlight how the Peshtigo Lions respond to real community needs — wherever and whenever help is required.

The Peshtigo Lions Club remains committed to serving the community through meaningful projects that make a difference. Community members interested in learning more about Lions service or becoming involved are encouraged to reach out to the Peshtigo Lions Club via their Facebook page.
