Patrick Thomas Murphy, 73, of Lena, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025 surrounded by his family. Pat was born on February 26, 1952, in Oconto, Wisconsin to Frank and Ruth (Young) Murphy.
Pat will be remembered for his gregarious personality, strong work ethic, and his ability to find positivity in just about anything. His outgoing nature ingratiated himself to most people he met, and he certainly was not afraid to talk to anyone. He adored the company of friends and family where no subject was off topic. He felt most at home surrounded by his large, loud family. He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, but loved being a radio disc jockey the most. Riding his Harley-Davidson, checking out the latest cars and trucks, listening to music, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers were some of his favorite pastimes. With Pat, you were never far away from hearing a joke and things were never taken seriously for too long.
Pat is survived by his loving wife Margie; brother Terry (Katy); sisters Colleen and Mary Ellen (Gerard); children Kelly (Chad), Casey, Riley (Krista), and Annie (Joseph), Luana (Dave), Mary (Nick), Susie (Tom), and Donna (Kevin), as well as his grandchildren Collin, Brady, Piper, Ellie, Dylan, Connor, Kaleigh, Lauren, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Hayden, Brynn, Reed; many nieces and nephews; and cherished dog, Bella. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth, brother-in-law Siegfred “Siegy” Baye, and beloved dog, Lucy.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 11 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Memorial services will be conducted 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Moments Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion; especially Danielle Staszak, Amy Thomson, Hanna Kopczynski, and Dana Anderson. Pat greatly enjoyed their daily visits and conversation. Pat’s sense of humor was sure to shine when these ladies showed up. Additionally, a special thank you to the Bellin Oncology Nursing Team for their outstanding care.
