Patricia A. “Patti” Bird, 70, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area surrounded by her family. She was born January 24, 1956 to Charles and Lorraine (Delfosse) Bird in Great Lakes, IL where her father was serving with the US Navy. Patti graduated from Marinette High School with the Class of 1974. Shortly after she relocated to Florida, where she resided for a number of years. While in Florida she married James DePasquale and later divorced after a 17-year marriage. Patti operated a floral business in Florida and was also self-employed in an arts and crafts business. After returning to the Marinette area she continued in her business and worked for a time at the hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Candace (Justin) Gimbel; a son, Michael DePasquale; her mother, Lorraine Bird; grandchildren, Alex, Cody and Gage Graham, Joseph Gimbel and Kiara Guns along with Kiara’s children, Alec and Eli; and is further survived by two brothers, Charles (Kelly) Bird and Jim Bird.
Patti was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bird; and a son, James Edward DePasquale II and significant other, Jerome (Zigger) Zeratsky.
Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 2 until 4 p.m. with a service to follow. Chaplain Karen Ann Hanson will officiate.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Aurora Medical Center, especially Vallery Krah, Patti's nurse in the ICU.
