MARINETTE – In celebration of Women’s History Month, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) hosted nationally recognized mental health educator and keynote speaker Tianna Faye Soto for two EmpowHER events at its Marinette and Green Bay campuses, focused on empowerment, leadership and personal growth.
EmpowHER is an NWTC-led event series designed to foster connection and conversation while supporting students and community members in their personal and professional journeys. The events were made possible with support from partners of YWCA Greater Green Bay.
Held over two days, the luncheons brought together students, staff and community members from across health care, nonprofit, education and local leadership sectors. Through shared experiences and open dialogue, attendees explored themes of resilience, self-worth and authentic leadership.
Soto has delivered programs for more than 100 organizations across the country and has been featured in publications including “Cosmopolitan,” “Glamour” and “Well+Good.”
“The world needs your presence, not your perfection,” Soto said in closing, urging attendees to embrace their individuality and lead from a place of confidence rather than comparison.
In Marinette, the luncheon created space for meaningful conversation around resilience, self-worth and the importance of supporting one another.
These events reflected NWTC’s broader commitment to developing confident leaders prepared to strengthen the regional workforce and uplift their communities.
By creating spaces that prioritize mental wellness, authentic leadership and access to opportunity, NWTC continues to empower students and community members to grow in their careers, education and in the communities they call home.
