Nicholas Steven Thomas December 6, 1941 – December 11, 2025 Nicholas Steven Thomas, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025. A lifelong resident of Crivitz, Wisconsin, Nick was born on December 6, 1941 to the late Harry and Irene Thomas, and lived his entire life in the community he loved so deeply.
Nick graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and later earned his Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Superior. He devoted his professional life to education, serving as a teacher and guidance counselor for the Crivitz School District. He truly loved his work and the students he guided over the years.
His dedication to youth extended beyond the classroom and into coaching, where he found a true passion. Nick coached golf, junior varsity girls basketball, and varsity volleyball, leading his volleyball teams to State Championships—an achievement he took great pride in.
Nick was married to the love of his life, Susan, for 56 wonderful years. Together, they made their home on Thunder Lake, where Nick built their house by hand. He cherished their beautiful property, spending countless hours enjoying wildlife, lake life, and the peace of nature. NIck and Sue also enjoyed many winters living in Naples, Florida.
An avid traveler, Nick explored the world and proudly visited all 50 states, embracing new experiences while always remaining grounded in his hometown roots.
He is survived by his children, Autumn (son-in-law Dan), Amy, Nichol (son-in-law Jeff), and Scott; and his three cherished grandchildren, Mickey, Derek, and Tyger, and his sister Geraldine.
Nicholas Steven Thomas will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, passionate educator, dedicated coach, and a man who truly lived a wonderful life.
Visitation will be Friday, December 19th, 10am-11am with mass to follow at 11am at St. Mary’s of the Lake, Crooked Lake Chapel, 15478 Whispering Pines Lane, Crooked Lake, WI 54149, with Fr. Praveen Pamisetti officiating. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Crivitz is assisting the family.
