Michael Edward Lofman, 74, of Marinette, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born May 19, 1952, in Marinette, the son of Charles and Vivian (Lund) Lofman.

Michael grew up in the Marinette area and graduated from Marinette High School.  On April 3, 1971, Michael married Peggy Jean Baumler at First United Methodist Church in Marinette. He worked for Scott Paper Company for more than 30 years before his retirement.

Michael had a lifelong love of music and was an avid record collector. He was also a gifted storyteller, and he enjoyed road trips with family and friends, as well as riding motorcycle with Peggy. Michael was a natural tinkerer, and could fix or figure out just about anything.

Above all, Michael was a devoted family man and a wonderful grandfather. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering them on from the sidelines. He loved spending time with his family, sharing stories, offering advice, and being part of the moments that mattered to them.

Michael was survived by his children, Michael T. Lofman and Kimberly Scott; three grandchildren, Maygen Lofman, Alexa Lofman, and Jake Scott; siblings, Ron Lofman and Pam Bonner.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy Jean Lofman; and brother, Doug Lofman.

No formal service will be held.

Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home is assisting the family.
