Mary J. Carviou, 79, of Porterfield, WI passed away Friday afternoon, April 10, 2026 at her home. She was born August 4, 1946. Raymond and Carmen Wouters adopted her as an infant. She grew up in Green Bay, graduating from Green Bay West High School. Throughout her life Mary enjoyed crafts, camping, quilting, bingo and thrifting, where she made numerous friends. She was a member of Porterfield Lutheran Church.
Mary married Ron W. Carviou on May 31, 1965. Ron preceded her in death on November 3, 2011. Mary married Dale J. Dederich on April 26, 2019.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dale; son, Steve (Vicki) Carviou; daughter, Sheila Russell; son, Ron (Missy) Carviou; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Dave Wouters; nieces, nephews and other extended family; and her cats, Laverne and Shirley.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brody; and a brother, Gary Wouters.
Visitation will be at Porterfield Lutheran Church on Friday, April 17th from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. A service will be held at noon with Vicar Dan Moshea officiating, followed by a luncheon. Burial will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery in McAllister at a later date.
