Marjorie “Marge” A. Kusnierz, 92, of Marinette passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Appleton. She was born December 24, 1931, in Marinette, WI to the late Albert and Margaret (LaFave) Doubek. She attended St. Ann’s Grade School and graduated from Menominee High School in 1951. On May 22, 1954, she married Frank Kusnierz Jr. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Menominee, MI. They enjoyed 68 years together before Frank preceded her in death on June 8, 2022. Marge had worked at Lloyd Manufacturing and Marinette General Hospital. She loved cooking, baking, polka dancing, singing karaoke, playing cribbage and pinochle, and watching the Packers on TV. She enjoyed the game of golf where she competed and won multiple club championships at Little River Country Club. Marge also enjoyed many activities with her husband Frank, family and friends through the years including fishing trips and camping at Golden Lake, Michigan and multiple trips to Florida and Arizona. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society, Adoration Chapel and Little River Country Club Womens League.
Marge is survived by two sons, Gary (Sue) Kusnierz of Hortonville, WI and Gregory (Linda) Kusnierz of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Deborah (Gerald) Hay of Keaau, HI; seven grandchildren: Ross Kusnierz, Kristin Kusnierz, Michael (Jacklyn) Kusnierz, Kelley (Joshua) Phillips, Steven Kusnierz and Jared (Julia) and Grant (SO Christine) Hay; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Frank and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary (Lloyd) Kaufman, brothers, Bob (Doris) Doubek and Don Doubek.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church-Taylor St. on Saturday, September 28th from 9:00am to 11am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am with Reverend Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Care Partners Assisted Living, French Road Facility, 5101 North French Road, Appleton, WI 54913. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
