Marinette Woman’s Club begins new meeting year

The recent Marinette Woman’s Club meeting was the first gathering of the 2026 - 2027 year, marking 111 years of the organization.

MARINETTE – On Sept. 2, the Marinette Woman’s Club gathered at Little River Country Club for their first monthly meeting after the summer break. The guest speaker was Lauren Albaugh. She delivered an informative presentation regarding Bayshore Arts Center, which is celebrating 60 years in operation.

The center is located on the former UW-Green Bay Marinette campus and hosts Theatre on the Bay, Children’s Theatre, West Shore Chorale and the Fine Arts Gallery. Basic funding comes from the university, however programming relies on ticket sales, donations, grants and sponsorships.

Bayshore Arts Center offers year round programs, plays, musicals, workshops and art displays. Local children and adults participate in Marinette and surrounding communities and are fortunate to have this vibrant arts center.
