MARINETTE – The Marinette Police Department has released the following information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release/residence when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. The individuals who appear on this notification have been convicted of a sex offense.
Jesse R. Borchardt was released to the community on March 10 and will be living on Lewis Street in the City of Marinette between Blaine and Shields Streets.
Borchardt is a 52-year-old male with a height of 5’07” and a weight of 179 lbs.
Daniel F. Harris was released to the community on March 10 and will be living on Shore Drive in the City of Marinette between Parnell and Daggett Streets.
Harris is a 55-year-old male with a height of 5’11” and a weight of 229 lbs.
Donald D. Shampo will be released to the community on March 17 and will be living on 10th Street in the City of Marinette between Forest and Prairie Streets.
Shampo is a 65-year-old male with a height of 5’07” and a weight of 201 lbs.
All offenders must comply with all requirements of Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry, have no unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with victims and not consume drugs. They must comply with standard sex offender rules and cooperate with electronic monitoring. Face-to-face contact with law enforcement is required.
These sex offenders have served the sentence imposed on them by the courts. They are not wanted by the police at this time.
This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is the department’s belief that an informed public is a safer public.
Sex offenders have always lived in local communities; but it was not until the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
