Lucille Stella Orlowski, of Crivitz, was called to her heavenly home on August 23, 2024, after a brief stay at Rennes Health and Rehabilitation in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. She was 98 years old.
She was born on March 22, 1926, in Milwaukee to the late Stanley and Rose (Litzau) Marciniak. She was raised in a home filled with love and family. She was one of 10 children. She was a 1944 graduate of Pulaski High School in Milwaukee.
Nearing the end of high school, she met her future husband, Harold Orlowski. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2012. They shared 63 years of marriage. Harold joined the United States Navy and served in WWII for 4 years. Upon his honorable discharge, Lucille and Harold reconnected and married on August 21, 1948, at St. Alexander’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. The couple were blessed with 3 children.
She and Harold raised their children in Milwaukee, while she worked as a homemaker in addition to assisting with the family business, Reliable Sheet Metal and Hardware. In 1971they moved to the Northwoods where they owned and operated Orlowski Realty and Pine Acres Resort, both in Crivitz. She walked side by side with her husband supporting him as he served as a Deacon for St. Mary Of the Lake and St. Ambrose Catholic Churches. She was a devout Catholic and faithfully served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lucille enjoyed baking for family, friends, and guests alike. She was also a talented seamstress making curtains, drapes and mending clothes. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her various fruit trees.
Survivors include her children, Diane Birdsell, James Orlowski, sister Grace Kosmatka, 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Pat Stachowiak, parents, sisters, Angie, Irene, Kay, Rosemarie, brothers, Joe, Eddie, Tony and Chet.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at St. Mary of The Lakes Catholic Church in Lakewood from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Praveen Pamisetti will preside over Mass. Burial will follow in the Parish cemetery.
