COLEMAN - Brittney Mursau, owner of B.Confident Skin Studio in Coleman, recently installed a free sunscreen dispenser at Coleman Park to help make sun protection more accessible for local families and visitors.
As a licensed aesthetician and owner of a skincare studio focused on healthy skin, Mursau has long been passionate about educating others on the importance of prevention and skin health. That passion inspired her to purchase a sunscreen dispenser and sunscreen through Impact Melanoma, a nonprofit organization dedicated to skin cancer prevention and education.
“Living in Wisconsin, we wait all year for these beautiful summer months,” Mursau said. “I wanted to do something simple that could help families enjoy time outdoors while also encouraging healthy habits and sun safety.”
The dispenser is available for public use at Coleman Park and offers free sunscreen to park visitors, athletes, children and families spending time outdoors.
Mursau chose a mineral-based sunscreen for the dispenser because it aligns with her personal and professional philosophy of supporting healthy skin while limiting unnecessary chemical exposure. She acknowledges that the current sunscreen can leave a temporary white cast on the skin, a common characteristic of many mineral sunscreens.
“While it may leave a little white residue, I believe protecting your skin is what matters most,” Mursau said. “As an aesthetician, I often encourage clients to focus on long-term skin health first.”
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the dispenser, apply sunscreen before enjoying the park, and help spread awareness about the importance of sun safety in the community.
