Judith Lentz

Judith Ann (Kurowski) Lentz, of Peshtigo and Crivitz, passed away on Tuesday, December 23rd at Marinette Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area Hospital. Judith was born on July 10, 1944 at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Chicago. She was the daughter of Julius and Cecilia (Waszkiewicz) Kurowski, with a brother Julian. Judith, and her family, moved to Crivitz after she graduated eighth grade. In 1962, she graduated from Crivitz High School. Then, in 1966, she earned a B.A. in Art and Science from UW Oshkosh. She worked at Kimberly Clark in Neenah, as assistant to the art director, and later moved to Chicago; working in advertising at Plastic Trading Company. In 1967, Judith married her husband Norman of 58 years. They moved to Crivitz and owned and operated the Platter Restaurant – Motel for 33 years, and loved every moment! She appreciated all the kind and dedicated customers, and the great people they worked with throughout the years. Especially, Judith and Norman loved working with their children. Judith often used her creativity by developing unique menu ideas for the restaurant. For entertainment, she also adored fishing on Lake Noquebay and playing multiple games with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Norman of 58 years, her two daughters – April (Jason) MacGlashin and Kimberly (Quinn) Frye. There are three grandchildren including Gavin and Landon MacGlashin & Lauren (Feist) Frye. Also surviving, is brother Julian (Barbara) Kurowski and many relatives. Judith’s parents proceeded her in death. The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes East in Peshtigo and also Marinette Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area Hospital for their tender care attending to a short illness due to Dementia. Judith was surrounded by her family at her time of passing. Visitation will be Saturday, January 10th, 9 AM-11AM with mass to follow at 11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Crivitz. Burial will be in the spring. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home is assisting the family.
