Judith Ann Kotecki, 82, of Oconto, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was born to the late John and Ella (Durocher) Rebman in Two Rivers, WI on March 13, 1944. She graduated from Coleman High School in May of 1962. That same year, Judie then went on to cosmetology school and attended the Wisconsin School of Cosmetology of Green Bay. She then worked for Bernetta Neta as a stylist, who was a wonderful mentor, friend and mother figure. Judie was united in marriage to Florian Kotecki on July 25, 1964 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Coleman.
In 1968, Judie opened her first salon” Kountry Kurl” in Oconto which led to additional locations in Oconto Falls and Lena. She then joined forces with Ken Spice and opened “KJ’s Hair Design” later on. After years of operating highly successful salons, she moved on to work in sales for Imperial and then later traveling the country for Nioxin before finally CosmoProf which she retired from.
Judie loved to spend time with family, play any type of card game, host parties for friends and families, knit and was a veracious reader.
Judie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Florian Kotecki, only daughter; Karri Grenier (Mike), grandson; Adam Gordon (Anna Gould), granddaughter; Amanda Gordon (Jordan Frank), Joe Grenier (Susan Schultz), Erin Grenier, and great grandchildren; Carter Schultz, Finley Grenier, and Madison Grenier.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson; Ross Gordon, brothers; Charles, Jack, Robert, Richard, Gene and Rene Rebman.
Family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Anne Catholic Church 221 E Main St. Lena, WI. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM with Father Ben Johnson officiating.
