Jerome “Jerry” Swanson, 90, of Crivitz, Wisconsin, passed away on December 9, 2025. Born April 23, 1935, in Crivitz to Harry and Frieda Swanson, Jerry graduated from Crivitz High School before proudly serving over 20 years in the United States Army as an engineer. A decorated war veteran, he was admired for his leadership and unwavering dedication to his country. After his military service, Jerry continued his commitment to public service as Superintendent for the Marinette County Highway Department for another 20 years. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished family gatherings, time with friends, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Known for his patriotism, kindness, and sense of humor, he touched the lives of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; children Hariet [Arnold Aubry], Sharon, Lisa (Mark Slota), John, Dieter [Sarah], and Dion; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren and one sister, Phillis. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Irmgard (“Em”) and son, Michael.
Visitation and services will be held on December 20, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m., service at 12:00 at Rhodes–Charapata Funeral Home, 801 George Street, Crivitz. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz. Jerry’s legacy of love, laughter, and steadfast devotion will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.
