JASON RICHARD DEBLOCK, 53, of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from a tragic fall at his home. He was born on January 11, 1973, to Neil and Joan (Paris) DeBlock in Menominee. Jason was a 1991 graduate of Menominee High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University. Later, he travelled to Turkey to earn his Master’s Degree in Archaeology from Bilkent University in Ankara. He participated in numerous archaic site digs during his time abroad. More recently, Jason worked as the Director of Art Collections at Yale University in Connecticut and in January of this year moved his talents to a similar role at the John Michael Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan, WI. He really enjoyed his archaeological based career and collected some unique treasures and memories over the years. He also had several related hobbies to occupy his time.

Jason is survived by his parents: Neil and Joan DeBlock of Menominee; sister: Jean (Ed) Hasse of Menominee; brother: Joseph DeBlock of Tennessee; niece: Erika DeBlock; nephew: Robert (Sherry) Nowack; and several other family members and friends.

In keeping with Jason’s wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of Jason’s life may be held in the future.

The family asks that no money, flowers, or other gifts be sent to them or the funeral home. In lieu of that, please donate to a worthy charity of your choosing.
