Grace R. Mundt, 99, of Menominee, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center Bay Area. She was born August 15, 1925 in Norway, MI to Edward and Irene (Robinson) Risberg. Grace moved to Marinette with her family at a young age and was a graduate of Marinette High School. During World War II she worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C. In 1947 Grace married Morris G. Mundt, the love of her life, and enjoyed 72 years of marriage until his passing in 2020.
Grace and Morris led an active social life and enjoyed travel and entertaining. For many years they spent winters in Gulf Shores, AL. Grace was a member of PEO Chapter BK, the Charles Dickens Club, the Study Club and a longtime member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Candace (Bob) Myers and Carrie (Dave) Kehoe; grandchildren, Brandon Kehoe, Amanda Winter, Melinda Malmsten and Miranda Kirk; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mundt.
A private family funeral will be held.
The Mundt family would like to thank the Harbors staff for their years of caring attention as well as the doctors and nurses at Aurora Bay Area for their compassion and kindness in Grace’s last days.
