GREEN BAY – The federal jury trial that began on April 20 for the United States of America v. Isaias R. Cupino, Jr. came to a close on April 23, with Cupino found guilty for committing child pornography/child sexual abuse material (CSAM)-related crimes.
This case was held in the U.S. District Court — Eastern District of Wisconsin against Cupino, a former family medicine physician who was previously employed at Prevea HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital.
According to a since removed Prevea Health providers webpage Cupino, “work[ed] as a family medicine physician and provid[ed] primary care services, including routine pediatric and adult care and more.”
Cupino was found guilty by the jury on three counts of producing child pornography; one count of transporting child pornography; and one count of possessing child pornography. He was found not guilty on three additional counts of producing child pornography.
Cupino was first arrested in late August 2025 when the Oconto Falls Police Department received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding CSAM uploaded to Facebook from an Oconto Falls address.
“Our officers believed there to be an imminent safety risk to a very young child, which led to the execution of a search warrant in the City of Oconto Falls and the subsequent arrest of a 65-year-old male,” a police press release stated.
According to the court exhibit list, Facebook certification and records were entered as evidence for both Cupino and “Child Victim - 1” as well as the Facebook cybertip.
Additional electronics were entered — including a Western Digital hard drive and an iPhone — and dozens of photos, videos and video transcripts in relation to “Child Victim - 1” and “Child Victim - 2.” Other digital files documented a doll with “vaginal insert instructions” and “vaginal insert accessories” with “bra/top removed.”
Following the discovery of these materials in August 2025, Cupino was charged with first degree sexual assault, child sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography. However, the charges were dismissed in order to forward the case onto the federal level.
Currently, Cupino is awaiting sentencing, which has been scheduled for July 30.
