PESHTIGO – On Tuesday, Aug. 25, Faith Church in Peshtigo welcomed approximately 35 local veterans for its weekly veterans meeting, providing not only a place to gather, but also a warm meal and fellowship at no cost to the veterans.
The gathering, organized and planned by veteran Dennis Czapiewski, offered veterans an opportunity to sit down together, share stories, reconnect with friends and enjoy some well-deserved fellowship. The menu included hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and water, followed by donuts, coffee and homemade cookies.
For the veterans in attendance, the gathering was about much more than food. It was about community, friendship and showing appreciation to those who have served our country.
Events such as this demonstrate the power of community when people come together to serve others. The veterans gathering is a wonderful example of the spirit of compassion and fellowship at work in the Peshtigo community.
Faith Church’s hospitality is a reminder that sometimes the simplest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
