Dolores Theisen

Dolores J. Theisen, 96, of Marinette passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Luther Manor. She was born on June 21, 1930, to the late Albert and Hazel (Pichette) DeDamos in Vulcan, MI. She moved to Menominee at a young age with her family and graduated from Menominee High School. After high school she worked at Ed's Market and later for Michigan Inspection Bureau for four years. On September 17, 1955, Dolores married Lawrence Theisen at St. Anne's Church in Menominee; he preceded her in death on December 27, 2018. She was a member of S.S. Joseph & Edward Parish and the CCW. Dolores enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bridge.

Dolores is survived by her son, Timothy (Deb) Theisen of Royerford, PA; daughters, Charlene Gurney of Sun Prairie and Diane (Greg) Schliep of Abrams; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Larry, she was preceded in death by brothers: Ed, Albert, Franklin “Nick”, Leonard “Red” and infant brother, Lawrence; and a sister, Lorraine.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20th at S.S. Joseph & Edward Parish from 10-11am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am with Rev. Michael Lightner officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
