PESHTIGO – The City of Peshtigo Common Council held a meeting on Monday, Oct. 28, which began at 3:05 p.m. Among those present were Alderpersons Brigitte Schmidt, Robert Warren, Angel Wink and Keith Klimek.
The first item the council discussed was leaf pickup, which will end on Friday, Nov. 15.
The main topic of discussion was change orders which need to be made for the City Hall renovations.
The change orders were as follows: change order 15 for electrical wall heaters in new bathrooms at a cost of $831.87, change order 16 for changed grading on the east side of the building at a cost of $3,891.27, change order 17 for manhole adjustments at a cost of $5,631.03, change order 18 for additional asphalt at a cost of $9,291.31, change order 19 for protective bollards at gas meters at a cost of $2,594.60, change order 21 for grade changes to ensure the parking lot is ADA compliant at a cost of $11,444.79, change order 22 for heating in the library addition at a cost of $9,489.88, change order 23 for data and TV cables at a cost of $4,387.02 and change order 24 for electrical extras like exhaust fans at a cost of $2,591.80.
In addition, the library needs new carpet, paint and electrical outlets, but they raised $21,900 to cover these updates, leaving only about $1,000 in expenses for the city.
The total charge for these change orders is $459,000.07.
There was no additional discussion and Wink made a motion to approve these changes. All voted aye and the motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 3:20 p.m.
