At 1:01 a.m., a deputy responded to a vehicle in a ditch on J-1 Rd. in Daggett Township. Michael Claycomb, a 78-year-old Daggett man, lost control while traveling north around a curve. No injuries occurred, and the vehicle was undamaged after being towed.
At 1:01 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a personal injury crash on River Dr. in Menominee Township. A 49-year-old Wallace man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, resisting and obstructing, and intimidating a witness. He was treated at a hospital before being jailed.
At 12:50 p.m., deputies responded to a car versus train collision on G-08 in Mellen Township. Faith Cadieux, an 18-year-old Pembine woman, failed to see a train, causing a collision with the front of her car. Only minor injuries were reported, and both the car and train sustained minor damage.
January 2
At 7:52 a.m., a deputy responded to a two-vehicle crash on US 41 in Mellen Township. A vehicle driven by Austin Neumann, a 27-year-old from Marinette, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Michael Kass, a 41-year-old from Menominee. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage, and Neumann was cited for a basic speed law violation.
At 10:51 a.m., a deputy attended to a two-vehicle crash on US 41 in Menominee Township. James Roubal, a 65-year-old from Wallace, rear-ended Therese Neisius, a 62-year-old from Menominee, while she was stopped to allow a vehicle ahead to turn left. Roubal’s vehicle was towed, but no injuries were reported.
January 3
At 1:47 p.m., a deputy and Daggett Fire responded to a fully engulfed detached garage fire on CR 358. The structure was significantly damaged, and the fire was likely started by a small heater. No injuries were reported.
January 5
At 9:05 a.m., a deputy responded to a crash in the Village of Powers on US 41. Allen Eagle, a 65-year-old from Gladstone, attempted to pass Jonathan Groleau, a 62-year-old from Wilson, using a turn lane, resulting in a collision. Eagle’s vehicle was towed with disabling damage.
At 12:05 p.m., a theft complaint involving missing money was reported at a business on US 41 in Stephenson Township; the investigation is ongoing.
January 6
At 12:41 p.m., a deputy investigated a property line dispute on Lenca Ln. in Gourley Township regarding a blocked easement. The matter was determined to be civil.
At 1:27 p.m., a deputy responded to a threats complaint on Twin Creek Rd. in Menominee Township involving messages about borrowed items. The incident was closed after contact with both parties.
At 4:41 p.m., a 31-year-old Kingsford man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop for speeding on US 41 in Spalding Township.
January 7
At 12:11 p.m., a 35-year-old Menominee man was arrested in Shawano County on a warrant for probation violations related to a prior intoxicated driving charge.
At 1:29 p.m., deputies investigated a suspicious situation on #36 Ln. in Meyer Township after a caller reported an open door at a neighbor’s camp.
January 8
At 11:47 a.m., a 42-year-old Escanaba woman was arrested in Delta County on a warrant for failing to appear regarding a methamphetamine possession charge.
January 9
At 5:29 a.m., Kevin Braasch, a 55-year-old man from Daggett, suffered minor injuries after his vehicle hit slush, entered a ditch, and rolled over on US 41 in Mellen Township.
At 3:50 p.m., a deputy responded to a trespass complaint on Million Dollar Rd. in Ingallston Township. The suspect was looking for a pet, and the incident was closed.
January 10
At 5:27 a.m., a 42-year-old Marinette woman was arrested on warrants for failure to appear.
At 7:57 a.m., a semi-truck driven by Michael Eldridge, a 69-year-old man from Iron Mountain, was forced into a ditch on US 2 in Spalding Township after colliding with a tire that fell off an oncoming semi. The semi was towed.
At 3:03 p.m., a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Myers, a 49-year-old woman from Menominee, rear-ended Rebecca Osborn, a 44-year-old woman from St. Robert, Mo., in the Village of Carney. Myers’ vehicle was towed.
February 16
At 12:27 a.m., Gabriella E. Wusterbarth and Elleonna L. Butler were arrested at 810 Wells St. for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Brent L. Sommer was also taken into custody on a warrant.
At 9:57 a.m., Kayla Johnston was cited for possession of THC near Marinette Ave. and W. Cleveland Ave.
At 3:03 p.m., Bradley Jahn was arrested at 32 W. Russell St. for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
At 6:53 p.m., Amos Williams and Barbara Kelly were involved in a hit-and-run accident at 1302 Marinette Ave.
