Menominee County Sheriff’s Office incident summary: June 19 — June 25

June 19

9:37 p.m. — Deputies responded to a mental health crisis in the Village of Hermansville, where a subject was transported to the hospital for evaluation by family.

June 20

  • 10:19 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a larceny complaint on Haggerson Court, where a caller reported items stolen from her residence. An investigation was initiated.
  • 1:03 p.m. — A 28-year-old Menominee man was arrested on a valid warrant from the 96th District Court of Marquette for methamphetamine use at a residence on Haggerson Court in Menominee Township and transported to the Menominee County Jail.
  • 4:12 p.m. — A deputy initiated a traffic stop on 18th Avenue in the City of Menominee for expired registration plates, leading to the arrest of a 22-year-old Tacoma, Washington, man on a valid warrant for failure to appear out of 95A District Court of Menominee. He was lodged at the Menominee County Jail.

June 21

  • 10:41 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a breaking and entering complaint on Pinewoods Loop in Ingallston Township. An investigation was conducted and sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges.

June 23

  • 10:41 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a parking complaint in the Village of Hermansville. An investigation was conducted and the incident was closed.

June 24

  • 9:06 a.m. — A deputy was advised to contact a subject regarding a credit card fraud complaint in the Village of Hermansville, where the caller reported several suspicious transactions and was working with the company to correct them.
  • 10:59 a.m. — A deputy was advised to contact a subject on Sabourin Lane in Harris Township concerning a fraud complaint. The caller had received a suspicious letter requesting banking information for a loan payment, but no money was taken.
  • 6:31 p.m. — A deputy was dispatched to Willow Street in the City of Stephenson for a trespassing complaint. An investigation was conducted, a subject was warned of criminal trespass and the incident was closed.

June 25

  • 12:51 a.m. — A deputy initiated a traffic stop on County Road 358 in Daggett Township for impeding traffic. The driver, a 44-year-old Sheboygan man, was arrested on a valid warrant out of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Waukesha for a probation violation on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was also charged for having no operator’s license and lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
  • 9:38 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash on US 2 in Meyer Township. A vehicle driven by Patrick Lamaide, age 78, of Hermansville failed to yield while crossing US 2 from Main Street and struck a vehicle driven by Travis Coughlin, age 40, of Gladstone. No injuries were reported, but Coughlin’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and required towing.
  • 11:11 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a mental health crisis in Menominee Township. An investigation was conducted, and the incident was cleared.
  • 12:58 p.m. — A deputy was dispatched to a threats complaint on Willow Road in Menominee Township. An investigation was conducted, and the incident was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and possible charges.
  • 4:02 p.m. — A deputy was advised to contact a subject regarding threatening messages received from an unknown subject. The incident was documented and closed.

July 4

  • 7:21 a.m. — Property found on the beach in the 1200-1300 blocks of 1st Street was investigated and returned to its owner.
  • 10:41 a.m. — A 25-year-old male was arrested for three counts of fleeing and eluding police officers, two counts of resisting and obstructing police officers and driving a motorcycle without an endorsement.
  • 1:42 p.m. — Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle in the 3900 block of 10th Street.
  • 5:42 p.m. — A 19-year-old male was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol at Hatti Street Bridge.
  • 8:18 p.m. — A 30-year-old male was arrested for violating probation in the 700 block of 9th Avenue.
  • 9:13 p.m. — A 29-year-old female was arrested for disorderly conduct and larceny in the 700 block of 4th Street.

July 5

  • 5:44 a.m. — A 30-year-old female was arrested for operating a vehicle while highly intoxicated. A 17-year-old male was arrested for having open intoxicants in a vehicle and being a minor in possession of alcohol. A 33-year-old male was arrested for having open intoxicants in a vehicle near 10th Street and 14th Avenue.
  • 1:37 p.m. — A man’s brown Levi’s wallet was found and returned to its owner in the 900 block of Doyle Drive and 1000 block of 5th Street.
  • 6:43 p.m. — A 44-year-old female was arrested for burglary and assault in the 2300 block of 13th Street.
    July 7
  • 2:17 p.m. — Officers investigated a two-vehicle accident resulting in functional damage but no injuries at 13th Street and 10th Avenue.
  • 3:20 p.m. — Officers investigated a hit-and-run accident that occurred around July 4, but was only discovered when the owner returned home in the 2000 block of 16th Avenue.
  • 11:04 p.m. — A 44-year-old male was cited for speeding at 13th Street and 30th Avenue.

July 8

  • 2:03 a.m. — Officers investigated the theft of a black electronic bicycle and a black Huffy bicycle from a residence in the 1200 block of 25th Street.
  • 10:07 p.m. — A 17-year-old male was cited for defective tail lights on a vehicle at 10th Street and 48th Avenue.
  • 11:08 p.m. — A 17-year-old male was arrested for having open intoxicants in a vehicle. A 19-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, and a 17-year-old female were all arrested for being minors in possession of alcohol (second offense) at 10th Street and 56th Avenue.

July 9

  • 10:34 a.m. — Officers investigated a report of a vehicle backing into a parked vehicle, causing minor damage but no injuries, at 16th Avenue and 13th Street.
  • 7:06 p.m. — A 34-year-old male was arrested on a bench warrant through the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office at 8th Avenue and 10th Street.

July 10

  • 5:56 p.m. — Officers investigated a report of a boat flying off a trailer and striking a power pole, causing the pole to lean. No injuries were reported in the 3400 block of 10th Street.
  • 10:29 p.m. — Officers investigated a report of a vehicle that struck a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported in the 1400 block of 13th Street.
