Arleigh Horack

Arleigh "Boots" Horack, known for her warm smile, passed away peacefully on her 93rd birthday, July 26, 2026 , at Hartland Place Senior Living Facility in Hartland, Wisconsin. Born in the small town of Brazeau, Wisconsin, on July 26, 1933, Arleigh lived a life filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

Arleigh was the daughter of Oliver and Alma (Nasgovitz) Horack, who instilled in her the values of hard work on their 80 acre farm in Coleman. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brothers, Allen and Cletus Horack.

A graduate of Coleman High School, class of 1951, Arleigh then worked for 40 years at Master Lock in Milwaukee, WI. She was a devoted member of Redeemer Church, where she found a sense of community and faith that sustained her throughout the years. Her commitment to her church and its values was a cornerstone of her life. She also enjoyed baking for family and friends, and tending to house plants, especially African violets.

Arleigh is survived by her nephew Brian Horack (Merton, WI.) his wife Sandi and their daughter Vanessa; her nephew Scott Horack (Tampa, FL) and his sons, Jaxon, Mason, and Maverick; her niece Kim (Horack) Pingel (New Holstein, WI. and her husband Nick; and many other close relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Arleigh's memory to Redeemer Church, 7735 West Howard Avenue, Milwaukee, WI. 53220 or a charity of your choice, reflecting her lifelong commitment to community and faith.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 380 West Bluemound Road from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment First Baptist Cemetery in Pound, WI.
