Adrian Joseph Ste. Marie, 91, of Klondike, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born to the late Vincent and Marion (Lachecki) Ste. Marie April 13, 1933.
He graduated from Oconto Falls High School class of 1951 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He served on the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CV-42 and later on the USS Norton Sound AVM-1. Adrian operated Klondike Radio and TV after being honorably discharged from the service, later going into partnership with his parents in the Klondike Community Store and Vance’s Bar, which he ran for many years. He was also a licensed auctioneer and ran Adrian’s Auction and Real Estate. Adrian was very active in the veteran’s community, serving as past Commander of the VFW Post in Beaver as well as a lifelong membership in the Coleman American Legion Post #280.
He is survived by his son Steven (Janet) Ste. Marie and their two children Monica and Linda; a daughter Danielle and her two children Chelsea and Kelly; a daughter Jenean St. Marie and three great-grandchildren. Adrian was preceded in death by his brother Vincent Ste. Marie of Appleton.
The family will greet relatives and friends Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Klondike Community Church, 8195 County Road Z, Pound, WI 54161 (the former St. Wenceslaus Church, Klondike), from 9 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 am with Pastor Mark Kostreva officiating. Military Honors will be given by the Coleman American Legion immediately following the service at the church. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman is assisting the family.
