Summer’s Ending

Why is the solution to government’s shortage of budget funds to increase taxes?  Few if any tax payers want to give them more of our hard earned money.  We do not want wheel taxes, more school taxes, any other taxes or increases. The costs of most everything has gotten out of hand.  

On August 5, I attended the City of Peshtigo Council meeting.  I attended to hear the fate of the old green truck parked across from City Hall.  This has been the discussion at several Parks & Recreation meetings, with the end result the green truck to be moved.  Some of the reasons that were given; cannot clean under the truck, you can see the extension cord from the truck to the power source in the planter, the Landmark is located behind the truck, insurance on the truck because Carl and I own the truc

The Crivitz Village Board has voted to create an Economic Development Coordinator (EDC) position to promote Crivitz and the surrounding area. I believe the cost of creating this position will ultimately fall on the taxpayers of the Village of Crivitz. The board was told that a grant would be obtained to pay for the position.  That grant has not been applied for. Grants are never guaranteed and there would be a good chance that the village would be denied.
